Collection: Kandinsky Collection
The Kandinsky Collection is a revival of the work of Wassily Kandinsky, a Russian painter and art theorist also one of the first creators of pure abstraction in modern art. His oeuvre of eminent artworks grew increasingly abstracted compared to his contemporaries as he gradually refined his style. His gift of synesthesia heavily influenced his own artwork and consequently this collection.
As the artist once said that "Everything starts with a dot," so did this collection, which today has become a fully fledged series of 8 handmade rugs. With its striking colours, varied weaving techniques and eccentric forms, our designs uphold the artist's commitment to the synesthesia of colour, sound, and spiritual expression in art.
